30 Day Yoga Challenge & New Beginnings

When I started practicing yoga five years ago, it took me a while to get into the language of yoga. I giggled. I squirmed. When I think about it now, the giggles were coming from two areas. First, it was simply new. Everything was new. And if I were to only listen to a complete yoga class now (while thinking of it from a beginner perspective), I could still hear how silly some of it sounds. The rest of the giggles were coming from a place of uncomfortable new-ness. I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. I didn’t Read more…

#10: Do Yoga 6 Days/Week for 1 Month – 30 Before 30 List

Today is the final day of my yoga challenge! Honestly, I’m glad to be done with it — on a daily basis — but will be adding more yoga into my regular workouts. I love projects like this because I love learning and I love fitness projects because it’s simply amazing how quickly the human body can change and adapt in such a short period of time. <<< Funniest yoga ad. Ever. I ended up going to yoga classes at my regular gym, taking free classes at Lululemon, buying a $30 for 30 days of Bikram deal (which I didn’t Read more…

30 Day Shred Results: Before & After

You know when you come home from vacation and can’t wait to look at all of the great pictures that you took, and then you come across ones of yourself in a bikini and you think, “Wow, I couldn’t possibly look any more toned in that photo…”, oh wait… OK, maybe more like, “Do I really look like that? Maybe I should work on getting a little more toned!” Yeah, that’s more like it. Traveling for a year wasn’t the best for staying in shape… being forced to eat amazing food, with no gyms in site, and conveniently leaving my Read more…

100 Push Ups Challenge, Anyone?

100 push ups?  Consecutively?  That’s insane! Damn the person who created this challenge.  Don’t they know I just can’t help myself from participating in challenges?  I’m on Week 3 of the 100 Push Up Challenge. When I did the initial test, I could only do about 3 push ups.  I blame elementary school PE teachers for having us only do “girl push ups”!  While I had to repeat Week 2, I’m now moving on to Week 3! Who’s up for the challenge? I DARE YOU!

A reader recently asked me about how often to send to your list and since it’s not the first time I’ve been asked this, I thought it would be a great discussion here. Here’s his question: The #1 thing to remember here is that there is no “right” answer! All we can do is give…
  • Where to Start with Choosing Metrics & KPIs That Matter 06.05.14
Maybe you already have a social media strategy and content strategy and plan in progress. Great! The next step is figuring out how you’ll measure it – to see if all that work is making a difference. I’m a broken record on this one, but one of the most important things to do before you begin any…
