So after class got out we walked to the beach, it was a pretty far walk, so we hopped on a bus on the way back. I love having a bus pass. It’s super simple. We got back to the hotel and there were signs that the power had went out, so we had to take the stairs and then of course the rooms were horribly hot, so we went to the store and it was closed too! I was like what is it already Sunday again! (Almost everything here is closed on Sundays)
So the host professor got stuck at the airport in the US, so a professor from the school came over and told us what bus to take to campus etc. The campus is about 20 min. away and it’s really gorgeous. Next week I want to walk to the cliffs and go swimming. So we took a taxi to Waterloo station in London to catch the Eurostar to Lille. Lines weren’t that bad, but no matter how light you pack you still have to wait for those who bring their entire homes with them. (like the 4’ 11”, 85 pound girl with 2 huge rolling bags, lol) Anyway, the train ride through the chunnel was pretty uneventful, except for the 50 cackling Brazilian girls.
