The beauty of being in a foreign country alone, is that it can be easier to kick a bad habit! Since it was all Greek to me anyway, I found myself using less filler words when trying to communicate. All the added words, such as “like” and “yeah” just add confusion. So while I still had to stop and think a bit, I managed to tone down my “like” bad habit.
Today was the big day. After hopping between lines at the Kaiser pharmacy & nurses station, I finally got all of my shots and prescriptions done, in under 1 hour! The list: Yellow Fever shot Hep A. shot Flu Shot Malaria pills (1 a week, 2 weeks before, during, and 4 weeks after) Typhoid fever pills (every other day, for 8 days) some major diarrhea medicine (only to be taken in an emergency diarrhea situation, the pharmacist probably thought I was kind of a freak because I couldn’t stop giggling about this one) All the vaccinations were free since Kaiser Read more…
Monday… check! Tuesday… ugggh, I had to like, start over. Yeah…..
I had full intentions of not drinking coffee for 1 month, or maybe 1 week, but then I thought “why? I don’t really have a problem” ha! So maybe I’ll try this next summer, eh? I have a couple years to finish this whole list. :)
