Como se dice “fun”? :) What a cool place… I love Mexico! Now I just need to plan my next trip! :)
I found the coolest free software for this! It’s not pretty, but it’s still really fun and I got 100% on the European countries game (finally)! It’s called Seterra. I like the maps version and the flags. Oh what fun! This will definitely be an on-going project of nerdiness. The List: Europe North America South America Asia Africa Australasia *UPDATE: I found a flash version, Purpose Games, that includes all the little un-countries like Monaco & Andorra. There went my great scores! *UPDATE AGAIN: TripAdvisor started a Games section of their site that has really fun map games, well fun Read more…
I cleaned out 73% of my computer last week… so this isn’t officially finished. Now I just need to backup some of my files, get rid of the beast of a monitor, and possibly use it as a media PC of sorts… to be continued I suppose. :(
My first issue of The Economist arrived last week! Officially my second favorite magazine (Wired is still #1). It’s a weekly magazine, so I’m still wondering if I’ll have [make] the time to read each one. They do have an audio version, so that should help. I’ll probably listen to it in the car. Although I love all the bright colors, their strategy of slowly shifting to capture the pre-teen market is kind of scary, but rather brilliant. And what’s with the creepy free stuffed animal? Is their next target market diapers for infants?
Monday… check! Tuesday… ugggh, I had to like, start over. Yeah…..
I had full intentions of not drinking coffee for 1 month, or maybe 1 week, but then I thought “why? I don’t really have a problem” ha! So maybe I’ll try this next summer, eh? I have a couple years to finish this whole list. :)
What’s my excuse for being late to the global warming game? It’s not politics or will power, but the lack of real actions steps – short of selling my soul and installing solar panels on my balcony. After checking out my friend Al’s site about an Inconvenient Truth (that he likely discovered), I found a few things that I can, have, or won’t do. What I can do… today (or tomorrow): Buy more cups and coffee mugs so I don’t have to run a 1/2 load dishwasher. Bike or walk the 1.4 miles to work. (And take my lunch to Read more…
