Marley and MeMarley & Me: Life and Love with the World’s Worst Dog by John Grogan is definitely a beach read! This book was hilarious, as in ‘laugh out loud’ hilarious. I loved it! It reminded me of our dogs growing up, and how mischievous and horrible they could be, but also how amazing they are. Now I want to get a dog again! :(

I found the coolest free software for this! It’s not pretty, but it’s still really fun and I got 100% on the European countries game (finally)! It’s called Seterra. I like the maps version and the flags. Oh what fun! This will definitely be an on-going project of nerdiness.

The List:
Europe
North America
South America

Asia
Africa
Australasia

*UPDATE: I found a flash version, Purpose Games, that includes all the little un-countries like Monaco & Andorra. There went my great scores!

*UPDATE AGAIN: TripAdvisor started a Games section of their site that has really fun map games, well fun if you’re a nerd anyway.

I cleaned out 73% of my computer last week… so this isn’t officially finished. Now I just need to backup some of my files, get rid of the beast of a monitor, and possibly use it as a media PC of sorts… to be continued I suppose. :(

#61: Subscribe to The Economist

5 Aug 2007 In: 101 Things in 1001 Days, Reading, life

The EconomistMy first issue of The Economist arrived last week! Officially my second favorite magazine (Wired is still #1). It’s a weekly magazine, so I’m still wondering if I’ll have [make] the time to read each one. They do have an audio version, so that should help. I’ll probably listen to it in the car. While I was reading this issue, I was thinking about how just like traveling to another country makes you realize how small the world is and that there’s so much outside of the US, magazines like The Economist are great to see news from a different perspective that’s not just hierarchical US news. Not ironically, The Economist is based out of London.

About

Hey remember that time I had a quarter-life crisis, quit my job, and traveled around the world for a year? Hey remember that other time the economy tanked and I spent almost a year looking for a new job? Hey remember that time I made banana and Nutella crepes for breakfast?

I probably blogged about it yeah?
