#97: Donate Hair to Locks of Love [again]

I’m in a habit of chopping all my hair off about every 2 years. It’s usually a fall or winter thing, and I try to wait until my hair is long enough to donate to Locks of Love. So after I got back to the States from traveling in Europe/Morocco at the end of November I immediately made a hair appointment. I didn’t end up getting my appointment until January though. :( And unfortunately, he deemed my hair too split-ended to donate this time around. I was really disappointed, but had it all chopped off anyway, as it was kind of a wind-blown disaster after traveling for a year. Next time! If I don’t cut it, it should be long enough again in spring/summer of 2010. wah wah!

#83: Start Wearing the Vintage Ring That Grandma Gave Me

I have in my possession a gorgeous, old ring. It was given to me by my grandmother, who received it as a gift from her father. Why don’t I ever wear it? I’m not sure. But this is probably one of the easiest things on my list. Not much action required, other than getting it out. I absolutely love this ring, but since I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, I guess sometimes I feel like it might be a little “loud” for me, so I’ll try to think of it as bohemian instead. :)

Aahhh… something shallow to cross off my list. :) I found the perfect nail polish for “nail polish haters”. It’s called Sally Hansen Natural Shine Nail Finish .4 oz. Pink Tint. It’s super light, so it doesn’t make your nails sweat; and gives your nails just enough shine, so you feel girly instead of like a slob. And it looks good on short nails. AND, since it’s clear you don’t have to worry about “staying in the lines.” Clearly, I’m a big fan. AAAAND… it kind of wears off instead of chipping, so you don’t even really need to use nail polish remover. I love it!

#34: Buy all new underwear

I’m crossing all the easy stuff off my list first! #34 is officially done, and doesn’t require much explanation! I stocked up on the 5 for $25 PINK underpants. Although I love all the bright colors, their strategy of slowly shifting to capture the pre-teen market is kind of scary, but rather brilliant. And what’s with the creepy free stuffed animal? Is their next target market diapers for infants?
