I read yet another “light reading, vacation book!” The Nanny Diaries: A Novel by Emma Mclaughlin and Nicola Kraus was a quick and enjoyable read. This book was also a little sad because it makes you think of “career” families/people and what you could potentially miss out on by not choosing to raise you kids. Obviously the example of this book is by far one end of an extreme, but it still makes you think about it, which is probably a good thing! Their writing style reminds me a lot of Helen Fielding (Bridget Jones). I swear I saw a movie preview with this title… maybe I was imagining it, I’ll have to Google it. Now that I’ve read the book it would be really cute to watch a movie of this.
