I unintentionally started off #56 while on vacation. I started with A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby. For some reason I thought this was the book full of short stories, but it ended up being about suicide. In hindsight I really don’t think a book about suicide is the lightest and most fun beach read, but it was still a good book, just not the best for Nick Hornby (or the beach).
It’s one of those books that makes you think about how much the same everyone is, even if we all live in what looks like different worlds, at our core we all just want to matter.
